Friday, working at the station. Some people stopped and needed air to blow up their inflatable rafts.
As I worked on their toys, one of them told me that I should go along with them and take the day off to play.

One girl asked me if my name is Mike, (I wear a name tag at work). I said yes, but I also go by 45. She thought that was interesting I suppose. We chatted some and she wanted my picture, I gave her my card and told her to send me a copy by email.

As they pulled away I heard her say that she loves me.

I thought about her during the day, and decided to load the kayak and try to find her after work.

When I got to the lake I had no idea where they might be camped, so I put in at Osborn Bay and paddled round Sun Banks. I was looking for those inflatable rafts, but didn't see them. I decided to try looking at Coulee Playland, about 3 miles away. I looked for them when i got there, but no luck. It was getting late, and dark, so I paddled back to Osborn Bay and loaded the kayak. I drove to several other popular campsites, and had no luck.

I spent the night camped near the gun range, then woke up when Mom called to find out if I was alive at 6:30 AM.

I drove back to town to get coffee, and then went back to the lake. I drove out to Jones Bay, and I DID see the rafts I had filled up, and the car she had been in!

No one was awake, and I decided I would seem like some creepy stalker if I stayed there and waited for them to get up.

I drove out to Kruks point and found a reasonable launch site, and paddled around back to Jones bay. I got to their camp about 10 am and there were a few people up and moving, but I did not see her.

I paddled around some more and then went back. I could hear them talking about making breakfast, and decided I should wait a bit more, and let them eat. I think I saw her walking back to camp from the showers, but I am not certain.

I paddled across the bay to some rocks, and figured i would hang out there until she got back in the water to play, then i would go and see if she really wanted me to hang out.

I waited, swam a bit, laid in the sun, drank beer, etc for a few hours and decided to load up and see why they were not in the water.

When I got there, the car was gone. The toys were gone. Bobbi was gone.

I dunno, sucks to be me I guess.
